Jade uses an electric harp which plugs into an amplifier just like an
electric guitar does or an acoustic harp when requested; this gives
her real flexibility to play any style of choice, whether classical,
folk, rock and pop or eastern and oriental styles. She graduated
with a Masters from Goldsmiths College a year ago and recently appeared
on BBC 1.
These
pieces demonstrate the different styles, which Jade can play on her
French made Camac Electroharpe. Her harp has 36 strings and is ornately
decorated in green and gold metallic carbon fibre. Jade’s harp creates
a unique ambience adding an exotic flavour to the performance. She can
also use various electronic effects to add some more theatrical elements,
or perhaps to give the effect of playing in a church or large hall,
if desired. Almost any effect can be achieved!
