Workshop

a) Vocal
Appetizer -
a vocal aperitif for the voice, it warms the voice up and prepares
the voice for more action using the “Call and response method” |

Vocal hors d’oeuvres
-
a selection of vocalicious techniques designed to introduce Vocal
improvisation. |

|
These consist of
|
|
Melody improvisation
- Each person will be given a Vocal segment of sound. Each segment
fits together to form a distinctive melody. |

|
Jazz Style improvisation
- Each person is given the chance to sample the scat technique of
singing. |
|
|
|
Vocal Main Course
|
|
Song Writing- A song will be created on an agreed theme. Each person
will contribute lyrics to the song. Melodies will be created, and
the group song will then be performed.
|
|
|
|
Vocal Desert
|
|
Sound Sundae – every one gets to experience, at the very centre,
layers of sound created by the other participants.
|

|
Dance Workshop:
The group selects a favourite song beforehand. Unique, fun and
achievable Choreography is done for this. On the night,
the Dance is taught to the
participants. The song can be from many styles.
|
|
These include: Street Dance,
Hip Hop, Pop,
Disco,
Cabaret, Latino.
|
|
The choice is yours; whichever one you think will be the most fun.
|
|
Both these workshops can be experienced as a singular package or a
combined package.
