Influenced by the very best in Latin and Brazilian entertainment, Tropicana presents a unique fusion of both genres in producing vibrant performances to fire the most jaded palate. This new and exciting show features a fully professional cast of highly experienced musicians and dynamic performers who combine their artistic talents with a passion that captures the essence of professionalism.

Their Showgirls can raise the energy with their glamour, energetic, visually astonishing presentation of Latin vocals and choreographed dance performances. An excellent “live” band featuring international musicians complements them. Within the show they can also offer an interactive section, encouraging audience members to participate and test their dance skills joining their performers. Depending on your specific requirements they can create custom made Latin entertainment by offering varied performances to suit differing tastes:

Tropicalicious Latin Brazilian Show

From 7-8 piece upward. The line-up includes four musicians on piano & Keys, bass guitar, drums, percussion plus 4 performers. The basic show can be extended to a bigger scale to perform in greater productions. Within this performance, they can also include a Brazilian Capoeira Show. Brazilian lead singer & dancer Vanessa fronts the Show, supported by her vocalist/dancers. Their performers sing comfortably in Portuguese, Spanish and English as they dance, fully choreographed, traditional Latin grooves to such mesmerising effect that the audience are given a taste of what the Rio de Janeiro Carnival or Havana de Cuba club scene has to offer. This Latin Brazilian Musical Show features a display of beautiful costumes, colourful feathers and shiny dresses throughout. It also includes audience participation.

Latin salsa & Brazilian samba party Band

Their established party band includes four musicians on piano & Keys, bass guitar, drums, percussion and female Brazilian singer. A bigger formation is available including trumpet player, guitarist or an extra percussionist. If on a budget, you can also opt for a four piece band with no percussionist. Thanks to the extreme versatility of their professional musicians and singer, they can provide a sparkling and energetic “live” performance presenting a well-assorted selection of hot Latin and Brazilian grooves.

Their wide repertoire accurately reflects the cultural nature of their performances. It includes: Sophisticated Latin jazz and Brazilian bossa nova (ideal as dinner set or during reception), salsa, rumba, cha cha, samba, lambada, samba-funk, samba-reggae and contemporary Latin chart. Their graceful showgirl Vanessa will thrill the crowd with a stunning performance of singing as well as dancing. When they perform, the passion and fun on stage are reflected by the happiness, participation and celebration of the audience.

Rio de Janeiro Carnival

To make a massive impact on your event, re-create the sensual atmosphere and rhythms of Brazil with this ensemble of Samba dancers and Drummers. This performance will give the audience a unique taste of the Rio de Janeiro Carnival with an explosive mixture of both samba drumming and dancing. Beautiful samba Dancers in shimmering bikinis and colourful feathers will provide a fascinating and stylish Show. Upon request, they will also sing the most famous themes from the legendary Schools of Samba too boot. Length of performance may vary depending on your requirements. The Rio de Janeiro Carnival is suitable for receptions, guest appearances, parades and promotions.

Latin Dancers

They will perform to quality backing tracks fully costumed different choreographed routine featuring Samba, salsa, samba gafiera, cha cha, lambada and samba-reggae. This performance also includes audience participation as the guests will be invited to take part in a short basic steps dance workshop to join the dancers in the final routine of the show.

Latin dance workshops

Dance workshops add something different to your event. They have expert Instructors conducting fun and exciting classes in any Latin dance style. Depending on the number of attendants their workshops require at least two instructors and run for approximately 60-90 minutes, however this may be varied to suit your needs. Workshops are a great way to get your guests up and dancing by learning few different steps and spins. It helps to build their confidence on the dance floor. For corporate staff functions it can also be a great way to encourage social interaction and build team communication. Their dance classes can be booked together with the show or separately.

Capoeira Dancers

Capoeira dance is a Brazilian tradition going back hundreds of years, whereby the performers will stand around dancers each doing a short burst of dance, that is the original inspiration for modern-day breakdancing. A typical set from Tropicana’s Capoeira dancers are 2 dancers providing 2-3 numbers of 5-7 minute sets each. 4 dancers can push the length of performance up to 10 minutes each.

Latin Jazz Band

This format is suitable for various concepts i.e. jazz club, festivals, wedding receptions, hotel lounge and background dinner set. Our Latin jazz band will definitely add a sophisticated touch of class at your event. The members of the band are highly experienced and skilled musicians who have worked extensively throughout the world.

The basic quartet line-up includes piano, bass guitar, drums and female Brazilian singer. It can be extended to a quintet adding a percussionist or even to a sextet with a trumpet or guitar player. You can also opt for a piano & vocal duo.

Their band has been embraced by Jazz aficionados for the quality of performance and expansive Latin jazz repertoire which includes a creative blend of Afro Cuban-Brazilian grooves seasoned and enforced with traditional melodies. Also featuring the finest selection of Brazilian music by Airto Moreira, Ellis Regina, Tania Maria, Tom Jobim, Djavan, Vinicius de Moraes, Joao Bosco to name but a few.
