David Dean is an highly accomplished, versatile pianist with a repertoire ranging from classical masterpieces such as Rachmaninov’s Second Piano Concerto, Debussy’s Claire de Lune, Chopin’s Etudes through Jazz and Pop standards including Sinatra, Duke Ellington, The Beatles and contemporary artists such as Robbie Williams, and Joss Stone.

David plays for engagements such as private after-dinner concerts, cocktail receptions and afternoon tea concerts. He performed at the 2006 FinanceAsia Awards Ceremony, Asia’s largest Financial Awards event, hosted by Lord Heseltine and will be appearing at Dulwich festival in May 2007 as well as giving recitals in Oxford and the City again later this year. He is also known for his innovative approach to weddings, transcribing contemporary works to order for both organ and piano.

David is currently studying under Professors Hilary Coates and Christopher Elton from Trinity College and the Royal Academy of Music, respectively, and recently achieved Distinction in the DipABRSM diploma from the Royal Schools of Music. Previously a member of the Hong Kong Chamber orchestra, he was understudy for a gala performance of the Rachmaninov’s Concerto in front of 1,200 people at Hong Kong City Hall in 2004. David has also performed Mozart’s Piano Concerto in D Minor KV 466 with the Oxford Opera Orchestra at Holywell Music Rooms, Europe’s oldest concert hall.
