Seán has worked at the sharp end of every
branch of the media. He is an award winning journalist and
broadcaster, having been the UK’s youngest ever network
television news reporter, aged 21, and a network news presenter,
aged 22. He started working for national newspapers aged 19,
becoming an undercover investigative reporter shortly
afterwards. He has also been a magazine writer and a dotcom
editor & managing editor. He has since worked with many
organisations and individuals, from large pharmaceutical, IT and
defence companies to hospital trusts and other organisations and
individuals.

Speeches:
Seán has had a highly varied career and life
and can recall many colourful experiences from his broadcasting
and journalistic career, as well as his life as an adventurer.
He's met and interviewed presidents, prime ministers, film stars
and criminals, been held at gunpoint and arrested by foreign
soldiers, been chased by foreign government agents and met
cannibals. His many tales include:
· Why he had to read the network TV
news in his boxer shorts
· How being ticklish helped him evade
security checks to gain access to ex-Soviet President Mikhail
Gorbachev
· Doing a “live” TV interview with his
hand involuntarily stuck on a woman's chest
· Numerous other “live” broadcasting
capers, clangers and catastrophes. Some of Seán’s are still
being featured (with alarming amounts of canned laughter) on TV
blooper shows around the world!
· Spending time with cannibalistic
tribes
He can adapt his after dinner speech to suit
the occasion and the audience and use a variety of appropriate
material, as well as a collection of impersonations, to make the
audience laugh.
Seán, whose style has been described as a mix
between the actor and raconteur David Niven and the comedian Bob
Hope, has spoken at corporate events, dinners and private
events. He is also a member of the Professional Speakers
Association.
He is also a business and motivational
speaker, an international conference and event facilitator &
presenter, an executive training consultant and the author of a
variety of books which range from a crime thriller to guides on
how to communicate with media and making business, wedding and
after dinner speeches.
Testimonials:
“You had a huge challenge on your hands for
an important client evening. You needed to be a witty and
engaging speaker, event compère and auctioneer with some of our
key clients by entertaining and making them feel valued while,
at the same time, also getting them to bid as much money as
possible for a charity auction. You not only managed to raise a
lot of money, but you made us all laugh and kept us entertained
before, during and after the event which was a great success as
a result. Thank you. You would be my first choice for any event
we hold in the future which requires a guest speaker.”
Rachel
Harris, New Business Manager, Bank of Scotland.
“Thank you so much for your entertaining and
funny speech. It's not easy to appeal to both the old and young
and to people from such varied backgrounds and cultures when
making an after dinner speech, but you did it with great charm
and wit.”
