Israeli born Yaniv d’Or studied at the
Rubin Academy in Jerusalem and the Guildhall School of Music and Drama
in London, with the aid of a scholarship from the America Israel Foundation.
His operatic experience includes the title
roles in Handel Ottone, Gluck Orfeo and Cavalli Orion, Nerone and Ottone
(Monteverdi L’incoronazione di Poppea), Sorceress (Purcell Dido and
Aeneas) and Arsamenes (Handel Xerxes) for British Youth Opera.
Concert and recital experience includes Vivaldi Stabat Mater, Gloria
and Nisi Dominus with the Israeli Camerata, the Monteverdi Vespers in
Trondheim Cathedral, Bach St. Matthew Passion with the Jerusalem Academy,
Handel arias with the Philharmonic Orchestra in Ankara, Carrissimi Jephte
in Innsbruck and Handel Messiah with the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra.
He has worked under such conductors as Mehta, Jacobs, Christie and Malgoire.
Yaniv recently performed as part of the Holocaust Day Anniversary Ceremony
given in the presence of HRH Queen Elisabeth at Westminster Hall earlier
this year, which was televised by the BBC.
Forthcoming engagements include the title
role in Handel Giulio Cesare for New Israeli Opera and Pergolesi Stabat
Mater with the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra.
